Hi, how are you settling into your post-holiday routine? It’s almost midnight and I’m trying to get this out while it’s still Sunday. Brain fog has been thick these last few weeks, but it’s time to get back to work, so:
Here’s a sneak peek at what’s coming in 2025 at Atypical Kids, Mindful Parents!
In preparation for the next season of the Atypical Kids Mindful Parents Podcast, I’ve been having such insightful and empowering conversations!
These parent-experts are as dedicated to advocating for our shared mission of meaningful inclusion and equity as you and I are. The episodes will be filled with relatable parenting stories, grounding mindfulness practices, and groundbreaking strategies to empower you in your parenting.
More will be unveiled soon. Thanks for your patience with the podcast. I’m crap at making time to edit, but these are such juicy conversations that it has been a blast!
My life is messy. My family is complicated. Like your family, we love each other so much that sometimes it hurts. We just keep trying to hurt each other less and live closer to our values.
At my baby sister’s baby shower last weekend, I had one thing I really wanted to say to her. Just one: “Comparison is the thief of joy.” I know, it’s not original, but for a new mom, I can think of nothing more important. I also told her that it was unsolicited advice, and she should freely ignore unsolicited advice. Maybe all will be smooth sailing, but with that kid’s genetics, who knows!
“As a parent of an atypical kid, I struggled to figure out the path forward, especially in those lonely early days… Kate offers instant kinship and support. Every parent would benefit from her tried-and-true ways of taking care of yourself, creating community, and advocating for your child.”
—Joanna Goddard, editor of the popular lifestyle blog Cup of Jo
Thanks for being here for another year of support, strategies, and connection! I’m so grateful that I’m starting 40 days of gratitude journaling and I’m sharing it on Instagram! Will you join me?
12:15. Oh well. Love you. Goodnight.
