I had a really hard parent moment the other day, where I just lost it. I cried so hard afterward, but I’ve been working with my inner guide and I kept repeating to myself, I will not beat myself up about this. When I did that, I created a lot of room for compassion instead. It felt so much different than my usual internal response about a messy parenting moment of being a bad mom.
I've been there Emma. There's so little room for grace in our culture, especially as a mom. Our inner voice expects perfection. But it's just not possible. Learning comes from making mistakes. Connection comes from rupture and repair. Apparently, kids have better outcomes with "good enough" parents.
I hope you'll give yourself a ton of grace and know that every single mom ever has lost it, and if they say they haven't they are just lying (unless their baby is like one day old).
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for all of this! ❤️
